Community Engagement and Education
MissionCommunity Assets Consulting works in partnership with Faith2Green to engage hard to reach, grassroots, and local non-profit organizations, individuals, businesses, community interest groups, and faith-based communities to create awareness of, involvement in, and promotion of responsible resource management, environmental stewardship, and eco-technology implementation. While educating people on resource supply and sustainable alternatives, we inspire sustainable living and working practices within our communities.
IntroductionCommunity Assets Consulting and Faith2Green have had longstanding grassroots involvement in environmental efforts ranging from the Los Angeles area to the state legislature to Washington. Our organizations have been trusted by hundreds of organizations and their thousands of constituents to bring topical, accurate, and useful information to the table. This position gives our programs the unique ability to hit the ground running when working to spread new messages. Participation in our Community Education Programs and services creates a sense of community as well as a feeling of ownership.
Our programs inspire involvement and action through education allowing citizens to:
ScopeResearch – Research is collected and done throughout each phase of the program to ensure collaboration between involved entities and to provide current information for other aspects of the program.
Informative Website and Materials – Our materials and website information provides target audiences with specific information to stay current on happenings. The materials create an easy interface for users to view programs, learn about field advances, and self-educate. Outreach Meetings – The outreach meetings involve presentations and direct collaboration with a specific entity in order to create new strategies to reach their wider support group. Community Workshops – Workshops are scheduled on a monthly to bimonthly basis to cover the program, significant changes, and new opportunities. Additionally, these meetings are used for instruction in performing self-assessments relating to the program topic and to give businesses and community members the opportunity to speak with industry professionals. Informational Trips/Tours – When appropriate, community members are given the opportunity to travel to various facilities to give an idea of the complexity of the systems and the upgrades that will be made in the coming years within the scope of the program.
