Solar Consulting and Experience

Picture
Community Assets Consulting has a long history of involvement in the solar arena with notable successes.  CAC specializes in expanding companies' development capacity and opening doors to business growth.  With the foundation of years of experience working with utility-scale, CAC is deeply involved in today's commercial and residential solar development.  Growing solar industry investment from both government and private sector sources presents excellent opportunities and warrants greater utilization of solar engineering and resources.  CAC knows that integration and embedding of solar generation technologies in today's built environment is feasible, economically viable, and, most importantly, environmentally and socially just.

CAC has been the U.S. representative of environmental technology companies
such as Solel, the world leader in solar technology for central power generation, and for
almost 10 years lead Solel’s U.S. business and external affairs activities through its
recently finalized half billion dollar merger with Siemens AG.

Combining market knowledge with a thorough understanding of business needs means that CAC can develop custom solutions and strategies to facilitate our clients' business. That expertise allows us to support companies as they enter and expand into U.S. and international markets. Once we have helped establish clients in a country, we continue to work with them to achieve success and to help overcome the obstacles that inevitably arise.

Most recently, CAC has:

  • Participated in the successful negotiation of a $2 Billion dollar 553 MW solar power purchase agreement with PG&E.
  • Assisted in the successful contract negotiations resulting in the retrofit of over 300 MW of solar power plant facilities.
  • Managed and facilitated PPA negotiations with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
  • Conducted Power Purchase negotiations with the Southern California Power Purchase Authority.
  • Authored a Federal solar bill that allowed non-profit organizations to realize a 30% savings upon the purchase of a solar system for their facilities.
  • Amended California’s Million Solar Rooftop Initiative to be solar neutral and include technologies other than solar photovoltaic.
  • Authored over half a dozen solar bills to address the needs of the solar energy industry in areas such as tax suspension, regulation adoption, and research.
